Crowning of the new Gala Queen for 2004

The handover from last years Gala Queen and crowning of the New gala Queen took place on Tuesday the 1st of June 2004 at Holden Hall See the pictures below: (click on any picture for a larger view)

The Gala Queen for 2003 was Rachael Whitaker, and her attendants were Pippa Dyson and Mollie McLaughlin.

The New Gala Queen for 2004 is Fiona Taylor and her attendants are Laura Gill and Megan Isherwood

The Village Gala for 2004

The procession forms up at 1.00 pm in Windsor Road, then starts at 2.00 pm, and moves along the main road to Station Road and into Victoria Road and the Gala fields.

All are welcome, please support this worthwhile event!

Mark and Judy Curtis have been invited to be guests of honour and judges at the Gala. Books are requested for the Village Society bookstall.
Programmes are on sale from the Post office price 10 pence each.

There will be a Fun Run on the day, and an "Any kind of pet" show.

Children are encouraged to make a "Veggie Pet" to be displayed in the Village Society tent in the Gala field.
