This year a special mention was given to
Private Fred Binns, an Oakworth
son whose name does not appear on our War Memorial, because he died in
Leeds Military Hospital from a lung ailment (possibly pneumonia) whilst on
leave convalescing from shrapnel wounds received. He is buried in the
grounds of Christ Church, Oakworth.
