Brownies
Two Brownie groups meet in Oakworth.

Brownies meet each week during term-time.
Any girl aged 7 or over and up to 10 years can be a brownie.
Brownies have fun-they take part in indoor and outdoor activities and each activity is an adventure,exciting
and interesting,and making lots of new friends-in a girl only environment.
Brownies make a Promise:-
I Promise that I will do my best
To love my God
To serve the Queen and my country
To help other people and to keep the Brownie Guide Law.
Activities,games and songs are all designed to help the girl to develop her full potential,with friendly and
helpful leaders,all of whom are enthusiastic volunteers and mostly members of Girlguiding U.K.
Girls work in small groups,quite often making their own decisions and they also work and play as a
whole unit,they follow a programme of adventures and can complete any number of badges.
Pack holidays,days out,challenges and camping are all part of the brownie programme.
The meetings last for one and a half hours,the cost is £1-50 and uniform is worn.
