William's name on the Thiepval Memorial


William is mentioned on the Bogthorn Methodist Chapel Sunday School lists of Oakworth men who served in WW1

He joined up on the 27th May 1916 and was killed on the 17th January 1917.
The only known trace of William is his name on the West Yorkshire Regiment panel on the Thiepval Memorial.
