"Picnic In the Park"
Bank Holiday Monday
26th May 2008
From 1.00 pm to 4.30 pm

 

We are holding a picnic in the park for anyone who wants to come along on the day. It is a very informal affair and is intended to get people to use their own local park just for fun.
The event will be held on the grass playing field above the grottoes.
We will arrange to have the grass cut regularly in the weeks running up to the event, to ensure that it is short and pleasant to sit out on.

The entertainment and facilities for the day will be:
 "Jazzy Days" A jazz quartet who will play three musical sets
A children's entertainment group - to be announced nearer the time
Face painting - to be confirmed nearer the time
Ice cream van
We would like people to bring their own picnics and lay out their blankets on the grass. This is a low or no cost event and just an excuse for you to have a relaxing time in the park safe in the knowledge that there will be a lot of like minded people doing the same.

Just relax and have fun!

The site of our picnic was the large level grassed area above and behind the main grottos. This is locally known as the putting green.
