Summer Gala
OAKWORTH GALA - SATURDAY 7 JULY 2012
The Committee of Oakworth Village Society are once again planning their annual Summer Gala which will be held in the Oakworth School field.
The procession will start from Windsor Road, please assemble at 1.00 pm so that judging can start immediately at 1.15 pm. Floats, fancy dress, decorated prams, bikes, etc will all be judged there and then. It is hoped that the procession will leave Windsor Road at precisely 2.00 pm and move through the village down to the field.
Buckets will be available for penny collecting alongside the procession. If you would like to volunteer to carry a bucket, please let me know. Your help would be very much appreciated.
There will be the usual stalls and entertainment, followed by childrens’ races.
There will also be the annual Village Run leaving the field running across 4 miles and back to the field.
All the details will be printed on the Lucky Programmes which will be on sale in the village, price 10p, from mid June.
